Darth Zuck’s Sorting Hat for Banning Facebook Ad Accounts

Picture this…

Darth Zuck sat on his white sofa wearing a hooded black robe.

Like the super-old bad guy in Star Wars… or a ring wraith from Lord of The Rings… or the grim reaper.

Take your pick.

In front of him, there’s a huge hat.

Full to the brim with little pieces of paper.

Each has a name on it.

He takes a sip of whatever herbal tea he’s drinking that day…

Plucks a name out of the hat, laughs about it, then heads upstairs to get ready for the rest of his day.

That’s pretty much what it feels like when your ad account gets shut down by Facebook.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆 𝗭𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

And today, your number is up.

BAM.

Your account is gone.

And the worst part is — when it does happen — the only thing you’ll get from the minions at Facebook is an automated email saying something like…

“Tough luck, today was your day, you’re banned.”

Okay, it doesn’t actually say that.

But it might as well.

𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘀, 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗢 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁.

It’s as though they don’t care you’ve spent thousands, maybe tens of thousands of dollars with them over the last few weeks.

Compare that with Youtube.

I’ve NEVER seen a YouTube ad account banned for content reasons.

In fact, you can say things in YouTube ads that would have you flagged over and over on Facebook.

It’s like playing in a wide-open field…
