From Overweight & Overworked to Fit & Prospering in Business
6 years ago, I was 50lbs overweight & self-conscious about how I looked & I also lacked energy & willpower.
At the time, I thought in order to grow a successful business, I needed to sacrifice other areas of life — like health & fitness.
I now know that isn’t true — in fact, prioritizing my health & fitness has massively increased my ability to perform in business, boosting my energy, stamina, motivation & confidence!
But that didn’t happen overnight — it took work over an extended period of time (& I have only scratched the surface!)
Just like in business, the results compound themselves over time — at first they’re invisible, then they’re slightly visible & then all of a sudden, you find your business (or body) transformed!
This year I’ve put more emphasis on building muscle & getting more fit in the gym — I’ve hit my minimum workouts every week this year (except the one week my trainer forced me to take off as a rest-week)
And I now actually really enjoy going to the gym & working out & I enjoy eating healthy foods that nourish my body!
Just like James Clear says in Atomic Habits, “When you fall in love with the process rather than the product, you don’t have to wait to give yourself permission to be happy. You can be satisfied anytime your system is running. And a system can be successful in many different forms, not just the one you first envision.”
I want to give a shout out to R. Belldon Colme whose Nutritional Fitness program helped me lose my excess wait years ago & to my Trainer Danny Trejo, whose RXFit training is helping me build muscle & get in the best physical shape I’ve been in! 💪
And I know the exciting part is that this is just the beginning — there’s always more growth you can have — both in fitness & business — there are levels & more growth right around the corner! 📈
